Minister Maria Paula Romo met with OAS’ Secretary-General.
Government Minister Maria Paula Romo met with the Secretary-General of the Organization of American States (OAS), Luis Almagro to discuss regional issues, the results of the Meeting of Ministers on Public Security of the Americas (MISPA VII) and the situation of the country.
They also mentioned the candidacy of former Foreign Minister Maria Fernanda Espinosa to lead the OAS.
Authorities reiterated that the Government will not support Espinosa, although Antigua and Barbuda and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines have supported her candidacy.
