Defense and Govt Ministers testify at National Assembly

The objective is to explain the actions taken during the 11 days of protests.

The Minister of Government, Maria Paula Romo, and the Minister of Defense, Oswaldo Jarrin, will appear today before the National Assembly Sovereignty and International Relations Committee to report on the actions undertaken by each Ministry during the 11 days of protests.

At the same time, the Legislative Administration Council (CAL) decided to integrate a multi-party commission to conduct an investigation into the events recorded during the protests, including the taking of the National Assembly building.

Assembly’s President Cesar Litardo explained that the multiparty commission will be structured on October 24, during the plenary session. For this, a delegate from each legislative commission was requested.
