“These groups are not interested in the peoples’ development; their only interest is to maintain certain political agendas.”

Ecuador’s President Lenin Moreno announced that in the upcoming days he will have the report on “vandalism groups,” who allegedly caused chaos and destabilization during the national strike in October.

“Protests become dangerous when the enemies of democracy and peace infiltrate them. These groups are not interested in the peoples’ development; their only interest is to maintain certain political agendas,” the head of state said at the Binational Cabinet in Colombia.

He also referred to the Citizen’s Revolution legislators who are in the Mexican Embassy after the protests. He said they requested asylum without having any accusation.

He added: “Those agendas that want to destabilize not only governments but everyone’s life, sowing terror, showing violence, generating chaos, covering up corruption and violating all human rights.”
