The defendants must present themselves periodically.
On Tuesday night, the substitute president of Pichincha’s Provincial Court, Patlova Guerra revoked the preventive measures against the Prefect of Pichincha Paola Pabon, former Congressman Virgilio Hernandez, and activist Christian Gonzalez.
Guerra accepted the request from the technical defense and issued substitute measures to those prosecuted for the alleged crime of rebellion during the October protests. With this, Pabon, Hernandez, and Gonzalez will periodically appear themselves before the competent authority.
Dozens of supporters celebrated the decision outside the Provincial Court of Pichincha.
