Jarrin: “Armed Forces showed tolerance because applying a trigger doesn’t take much”

Defense Minister said 255 militaries were kidnapped.

Defense Minister Oswaldo Jarrin reported that since March 2019, the Armed Forces were already prepared for what could happen in the country in October.

He noted that despite the fact that a crowd attacked Las Balvinas military unit -leaving police and military wounded- the Armed Forces “showed their maximum tolerance because it doesn’t take much to apply a trigger.”

Jarrin also revealed that 255 militaries were kidnapped during the national strike.

He also said he disagreed with the call of CONAIE leader Jaime Vargas to the Armed Forces to stop their support for the Government during the protests.
