Ecuador receives a new batch with 379,080 doses of the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine arrived at the Mariscal Sucre airport.
The Ministry of Health reported that this is the first shipment from the US pharmaceutical as part of the Covax Facility initiative, led by the World Health Organization (WHO).
The doses will be used in Phase 3 of the 9/100 Vaccination Plan, called “Less contagion” which is aimed at people from 49 to 16 years of age.
In addition, Salud indicated with this shipment, to date, more than 10.7 million doses have arrived in the country between the pharmaceutical companies of Pfizer, Sinovac and AstraZeneca.
Likewise, it is expected that three million more doses of vaccines will arrive this weekend.
