Justice of Ecuador ordered that Judge Yadira Proaño be separated from the Ola Bini case

Ola Bini is politically persecuted for being a friend of Julian Assange since the government of Lenin Moreno

This Thursday, July 15, the Judicial Branch ordered that Judge Yadira Proaño be separated from the criminal process against the Swedish citizen Ola Bini.

This was confirmed by the computer scientist’s lawyer, Carlos Soria, through his Twitter account, in which he expressed:

“Today the Ecuadorian justice has agreed with Ola Bini and has sentenced Judge Yadira Proaño to be separated from the process against Ola Bini.”

The jurist denounced that the magistrate delayed the hearing for more than 200 days, after verifying that Bini’s human and constitutional rights were violated.

After the separation of Judge Proaño, a new magistrate will have to resolve the legal situation of the Swedish citizen.

On June 29, the judge issued an order to call for a trial, against Ola Bini for the alleged non-consensual access to a computer system.

Following this ruling, Carlos Soria denounced that more than 100 violations of due process have been generated in this case and emphasized that this call for trial sets a “disastrous precedent” for human rights defenders.

Likewise, he filed a complaint for procedural fraud before the Prosecutor’s Office, with which he seeks to verify that evidence was invented against the computer scientist, which led to his arrest in April 2019.
