Ecuador registers 376 new infections and 10 more deaths in the last 24 hours. This June 24, 2021, the country has a total of 449. 483 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 21,377 deaths due to the pandemic.
According to the report of the Ministry of Health, 15,778 people died with a positive diagnosis and 5,599 died with suspicion of carrying the respiratory virus.
Hospital occupancy has not had significant variations for two weeks. This Thursday, there are 1,096 internees: 659 are stable and 437 with a reserved prognosis. What has not changed is the occupation of beds in the Intensive Care Units (ICU), which are 100% occupied. The Minister of Health, Ximena Garzón, said that until mid-August they expect the number of seriously ill patients to be reduced.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the country reports 415,508 recovered patients, representing 93.07% of the total infected.
