Minister of Government announces dialogues with the transport sector to solve demands

The Minister of Government, César Monje, announced that the new Government will seek consensus with the different social sectors, including the transport sector, to find solutions to their demands.

In an interview with Ecuavisa, the official acknowledged that this new government starts with certain “limitations.” However, he clarified that they will sit down to dialogue with each of the sectors that have concerns and demands, such as the transport sector.

“We are going to seek compensation, exits, agreements, to be able to help those who work and need the public transport service and give the country peace of mind and look for middle points,” he stressed.

In the opinion of Monje, in the previous government the protests were not externalized, because the sectors and unions of society “believed that they were not going to find an answer.”

“Now these sectors, such as public transport, feel that they can go out publicly to say what they think and that they will find an answer in the Government,” he said.

On the other hand, regarding the agreements and alliances within the National Assembly, the minister explained that there are issues on which assembly members of the CREO, Pachakutik, Democratic Left and independent groups coincide.

«We will not agree on everything, that is a reality. But there are points on which we can agree, “he said.

Regarding the expulsion of the assemblywoman Mireya Pazmiño, from the bench and the indigenous movement of Pachakutik, after being elected as president of the Economic Regime Commission, Monje defended that this decision “is not due to a breach of CREO, but to a internal discipline of this political organization ».
