The National Electoral Council and the Ministry of Public Health (MSP) are working on a technological application to know the place and date of vaccination. The objective is to emulate the voting process, when the citizen has designated his electoral Precinct.
The vice president of the CNE, Enrique Pita, mentioned that in the last elections he had a record of about 13 million Ecuadorians, from the age of 16 onwards.
In that registry, he said, people can be classified by age and ID numbers, depending on the MSP’s programming. With this, a distribution is made in the electoral precincts chosen for vaccination.
Additionally, he said, the CNE participates in the development of the technological application so that citizens know the date and place of vaccination; that is, your Electoral Precinct, which will be the vaccination point, and the Reception Table, where you will receive the vaccine.
Through electronic media, those who do not appear in the electoral roll for any reason, may register again to be part of the lists.
The vice president of the CNE explained that, if the total of 1,350 vaccination points were only applied to 150 people, it would be 200 thousand people daily vaccinated. And, in 100 days, 20 million people. He mentioned that this is the idea, but it will also depend on the number of vaccines the country has.
It is expected that until the afternoon of this Friday, May 28, the CNE will deliver all the information to the Ministry of Health. Today they will complete the design of the application and that information would be ready until the weekend, once the Minister of Health, Ximena Garzón, reported that on May 31 the vaccination plan of the Government of Guillermo Lasso begins.
