President Guillermo Lasso will officially present the so-called “9/100 Vaccination Plan” this Monday, May 31, from the Salesian Polytechnic University, in Quito, at 12:30.
With this act, the inoculation process begins, with which it is sought to vaccinate nine million Ecuadorians in 100 days.
Guarantee the health and life of citizens, reducing the levels of contagion and mortality; ensuring that the population can resume their activities, progressively and safely, is the Executive’s commitment, according to the information provided by the Communication Secretariat.
Tomorrow the technical and logistical details that will be implemented to meet this goal will be announced; For this, citizen co-responsibility must be counted on to maintain order in this process and comply with all biosafety measures, the regime demands.
According to the statement, in the days prior to the start of this plan, the Ministry of Public Health, under the leadership of Ximena Garzón, has worked on the archiving of vaccines and the inoculation of the second doses to the elderly and laggards.
The information highlights the purchase of medicines for critical COVID-19 patients and the receipt of 700,000 doses of Sinovac, which arrived this Saturday, May 29.
The vice president of the Republic, Alfredo Borrero, and the president of the National Electoral Council (s), Enrique Pita, will also participate in the presentation of the vaccination program. Lasso will verify the proper development of the inoculation process.
Hours before, at 10:30, the president will participate in the military ceremony of change of command of the Presidential Military House, in the Government Palace.
