(Prensa Latina) Argentina on Tuesday reported 20,870 Covid-19 cases in just 24 hours, the highest figure since the beginning of the pandemic in the country.
While new government restrictions are expected, Tuesday´s confirmed cases revealed a second coronavirus wave in the country, which already has more than two and a half million infected people since the so-called zero patient on March 6 2020.
Judging by long lines at several health centers, confirmed by Prensa Latina in a brief tour of several hospitals, new coronavirus cases are increasing, so authorities are appealing to social and collective awareness.
After President Alberto Fernández tested positive on Saturday, local authorities are concerned about all residents in the province of Buenos Aires infected.
