The country reports the highest peak in hospitalization with more than 1.500 internees. This Monday, March 15, 2021, the country had 1.474 patients, between stable and serious. This figure is the highest since the start of the pandemic.
Since March 5, the increase in the number of hospitalized has been constant. Since then, the daily average of patients, between serious and stable, is more than 1.300.
In recent days, there were figures never before recorded. On Friday, March 12, it rose to 1.413 (882 stable hospitalized and 531 with a reserved prognosis). On Saturday the 13th it rose to 1.440 (906 H.E and 534 P.R) and on Sunday the 14th it reached 1.458 (939 H.E and 519 P.R).
Since the beginning of the health emergency due to the coronavirus, the country has never had more than 900 stable hospitalized patients. This Monday, March 15, nationwide there are 961 stable patients and 513 with a reserved prognosis. In total, there are 1.474 interned this Monday. While 64 more people were discharged from hospital.
According to the report of the Ministry of Health, Ecuador reports 277 new infections and four more deaths in the last 24 hours. This Monday, March 15, 2021, the country has 302.498 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 16.240 deaths due to the pandemic.
In addition, 263.164 people have recovered from the disease, representing 87.08% of the total infected nationwide.
Pichincha registers 64 new infections and does not report deaths in the last 24 hours. Those diagnosed in the province amount to 104.438 and there are 2.717 deaths. Quito adds 62 more infected and has a total of 96.431 infected in the Ecuadorian capital.
