Ecuador reports the highest peak of hospitalized

For the second day in a row, the country reports more than 1.500 hospitalized daily for complications from COVID-19. This Friday, March 26, 2021, there are 1.537 patients: 1.016 stable and 521 with a reserved prognosis.

Never before had more than a thousand stable hospitalized patients been registered. As of Wednesday, March 24, the figure varied between 800 and 900 patients. By Thursday, March 25, the country reached 1.007 and this Friday registers the record of 1.016 stable patients.

With respect to hospitalized patients with a reserved prognosis, it is maintained at an average of 500 patients per day.

The infections also continue to increase. This Friday, there are 2.795 infected and 50 more deaths in the last 24 hours. In total, the country has 321.451 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 16.632 deaths due to the pandemic.

Only in the last three days, the country has registered 7.881 infected, being Wednesday, March 24, one of the highest peaks with 3.237 cases in one day.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 271.847 patients have overcome the disease, which represents 86.96% of those infected.

Pichincha registers 2.795 infections and three more deaths in the last 24 hours. The province has a total of 112.215 diagnosed with the virus and 2.791 deaths. Quito adds 1.558 more infected and amounts to 103.716 cases in the capital.
