(Prensa Latina) Argentine government is extending domestic health emergency until the end of 2021, a measure applied in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation, which is still hitting the South American country.
The decree, proclaimed on March 12 days before issuing social, preventive and compulsory isolation for the first time, was extended by President Alberto Fernández through December 31 and sets down ‘a public emergency in health matters for one year, and also empowers the Ministry of Health as enforcement authority. ‘
Among the provisions, travel restrictions from/to affected areas and from/to risk areas were recommended.
On the other hand, it regulates the obligation to comply with isolation for 10 days from the onset of Covid-19 symptoms or diagnosis in asymptomatic cases.
It is also expected the Government to announce a new stage of Social, Preventive and Mandatory Distancing in the country and respective conditions under which it will be met.
