One hundred thousand people have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in Ecuador, until March 12, according to the figures presented by the Ministry of Health, on its website.
The second dose should be administered 21 days later, according to the manufacturer’s laboratory recommendations.
Citizens over 65 years of age, who have not yet been vaccinated, will be able to register at planvacunarse.ec, starting on Monday, March 15. The other citizens who are part of phase 1, but who are not of legal age, do not have to register, because they will be called according to the databases provided, the MSP clarified.
Until March 30, 100% of the health personnel of the health establishments of the public and private network of the country will be vaccinated, is the commitment of the Secretary of State.
The head of Health, Rodolfo Farfán, pointed out that phase 1 of vaccination, which includes two million people, will end on April 30, in the provinces of Pichincha, Guayas and Azuay. Across the country, until May 20.
