This Monday, March 8, 2021, Ecuador registers 294.618 confirmed cases of coronavirus, by PCR tests; 115 more cases in the last 24 hours, while the number of deaths amounts to 16.043.
Of the total deaths, 11.262 are confirmed by the virus, while 4.781 are probable deaths from this disease.
256.009 patients have recovered from covid19, which represents 86.93% compared to those confirmed by PCR. On the other hand, 32.747 patients have been discharged from hospital, while 839 are hospitalized in a stable manner and 534 people remain with a reserved prognosis.
Pichincha is the province with the most cases with 102.341; Guayas reports 37.460 confirmed; Manabí 21.795 and Azuay 17.824, among the provinces with the most infected people.
