CNE admits that ballots that were printed with “errors” have not yet been destroyed

The President of this body indicated that these ballots still remain in the IGM and that an audit from the Comptroller’s Office should be awaited.

This February 2, during the advisory council of political organizations, the National Electoral Council (CNE), admitted that the electoral ballots that were printed with errors have not yet been destroyed. The vice president of this organization indicated that this material is not yet in his hands and that it remains in the Military Geographical Institute.

In the same way, Diana Atamaint, head of the CNE, asserted that an audit of the State Comptroller General should be awaited before destroying the ballots.

“Ballots that are in error and are in the custody of the IGM must go through an audit by the Comptroller’s Office and an own investigation that we are doing as the National Electoral Council.”

Atamaint also asserted that there will be no irregularity in the elections this Sunday, since the new ballots are of a different color and this is already known to the political organizations.

“If the doubt and fear is that these ballots may be misused, that is totally ruled out. The new ballots are of a different color and this was socialized with the political organizations so that they accompany us while monitoring ”.
