The president of Ecuador, Lenín Moreno, clarified that his family has not received the coronavirus vaccine, after several rumors on social networks and a list with names of possible immunized.
President Moreno indicated that his family has not received the dose of any vaccine. Moreno indicated that his mother, as well as his father-in-law, have died.
However, he did not specify if his wife, Rocío González de Moreno, has been inoculated.
Moreno was vaccinated, with the first dose of Pfizer, the week of January 18, 2021, as confirmed by the former Secretary General of the Cabinet, Juan Sebastián Roldán.
This clarification of the president is made in the middle of an alleged list of possible vaccinated people who are not part of the health personnel or first line of medical care, destined to be immunized in the first phases. This list includes former presidents, ministers, heads of the Judicial Branch and journalists.
