Ecuador registers 1.430 new infections and 44 more deaths in the last 34 hours. This February 26, 2021, the country has 282.599 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 15.713 deaths due to the pandemic.
According to the latest report, 10.971 people died with a positive diagnosis, while 4.742 died with suspicion of carrying the virus.
Again the hospital occupation reaches its maximum capacity. This Friday there are 856 stable hospitalized and 524 with a reserved prognosis. In total, there are 1.380 interned in one day, 32 more than the day before.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the country has registered 238.817 recovered patients, which represents 86.95% of the total infected.
Pichincha reports 434 new infections and eight more deaths in the last 24 hours. The province has 99.738 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 2.573 deaths. Quito adds 381 more infected and amounts to 92.159 infected in the Ecuadorian capital.
