Diesel will increase almost 0.06 cents more, compared to the previous month, and Super gasoline will increase 0.12 cents for its suggested sale.
The Agency for the Regulation and Control of Energy and Non-Renewable Natural Resources (ARC), which controls the fuel marketing chain, decreed a new increase in the price of fuels for Ecuador.
From this Monday, January 11, until February 11, 2021, the price per gallon of Premium diesel fuel, which is used in the automotive sector, will be USD 1.358, almost 0.06 cents more than the previous period. This would be the seventh consecutive month of increase for this fuel.
In the same way, there is an increase of 0.12 cents for the suggested sale of super fuel, which would place it at USD 2.60 per gallon. It should be remembered that, since December 2018, this gasoline has been released and marketers are free to establish the profit margin, after taking the price suggested by the ARC.
Prices for Liquefied Petroleum Gas do not increase for this month.
In Ecuador, the prices of these fuels are set by the Agency for the Regulation and Control of Energy and Non-Renewable Natural Resources (ARC), which controls the marketing chain.
This process occurs with the application of the reference band system that only allows the cost to fluctuate by 5% in relation to the cost of the previous month and is applied, at the national level, for premium diesel, diesel 2 and extra gasoline and eco-country.
Even this entity has already carried out several controls throughout the country to verify that this increase has taken place and that fuel marketers carry out its distribution properly.
