The US president will seek from day one to reverse the stronger policies of Donald Trump.
This Wednesday, January 20, 2021, Joe Biden will take office as the new president of the United States and will sign 17 decrees that will help reverse the policies of the Donald Trump government.
Among the decrees that Biden will sign are returning to the Paris climate agreement, not leaving the World Health Organization, in addition to several immigration reforms far removed from those promoted by his predecessor.
Joe Biden will sign a decree that stipulates the mandatory use of the mask in federal buildings and also for central government employees. This will be a measure that will seek to prevent the spread of the virus in the country.
The Democratic leader also sees the fight against climate change as a priority, which is why one of his first requests will be to return to the international Paris agreement.
On the other hand, Biden also confirmed that the construction of Mexico’s border wall will be stopped and people from Muslim nations will also be allowed to enter the country. In addition, the new government will also allocate additional funds for an assistance plan for migrants from El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras.
