Cristina Fernández de Kirchner receives the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine

“Not only am I taking care of myself, but I also take care of others,” said Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, vice president of Argentina, after applying the first dose of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine against Covid-19.

In this South American country the Sputnik V vaccine is applied and Fernández de Kirchner received it from the Deputy Minister of Health of the province of Buenos Aires, Nicolás Kreplak.

Through her Twitter account, the vice president wrote:

“At the Hospital Presidente Perón de Avellaneda, vaccinating with Sputnik V,” the vice president wrote on her Twitter account.

In addition, she thanked the health personnel for the enormous effort they make to face the pandemic.

The 67-year-old vice president received the vaccine after last Wednesday the National Administration of Drugs, Food and Medical Technology (Anmat) authorized its application in people over 60 years old.

Last Thursday, President Alberto Fernández, 61, also received the dose.
