This Sunday, January 24, the National Electoral Council (CNE) will carry out the second electoral simulation, in which the components of the Electoral System of Transmission and Publication of Minutes and Results (Setpar) will be tested 100%, including the Computer System of Scrutiny and Results (SIER); the Comprehensive Mobile Tracking System (Sismov); and the Computer System for Quick Counting.
The drill will be held from 10:00 to 18:00 in the emblematic precincts and will be a laboratory in which human talent, instruments, equipment, systems, programs and electoral logistics will be tested, which will be used on February 7.
In this event, the authorities of the CNE, Provincial Electoral Boards and the Special Foreign Board, delegates of political subjects, National Police, Armed Forces, quick count operators, table and precinct coordinators, among others, will participate.
The CNE reported that as part of the drill, the application of the Protocol for the Prevention of Covid-19 will also be evaluated.
This Friday, January 22, the Electoral Security Board met and presented the biosafety guidelines that will be applied in the trial.
The meeting that took place at the Ecu-911 headquarters in Quito was replicated at the 24 provincial tables.
According to the CNE, a biosafety assistant will be present at the drill, in charge of reviewing the use of a mask and ensuring that voters attend unaccompanied, except for people with disabilities who require assistance.
In relation to face-to-face and virtual training for the members of the Vote Receiving Boards, the National Security Board announced that it amounts to 70% coverage, both for students and public and private servants.
This day a test was also carried out in the emblematic precincts of the 24 provinces, to verify compliance with the biosecurity measures.
