President Lenín Moreno has already been vaccinated against Covid-19, says Juan Sebastián Roldán

The President would have been vaccinated prior to his trip to the United States.

Juan Sebastián Roldán, Secretary of the Cabinet, assured that the President of the Republic, Lenín Moreno, had already received the vaccine to combat the coronavirus, prior to his trip to Washington.

Roldán indicated that Moreno was vaccinated last week and that he will be vaccinated when appropriate, depending on his age.

On the other hand, he reiterated that Ecuador has committed 18 million doses, from various pharmaceutical companies, to vaccinate more than half of its population.

The President had already hinted that he wanted to be among the first vaccinated. In a dialogue with the media, he asserted that he and the First Lady, Rocío González, would be among the first group of people to receive the vaccine in Ecuador, against Covid-19.

Several media outlets inquired whether the delegation that accompanied President Moreno on the trip to the United States was vaccinated, but the Ministry of Communication has not confirmed this information.
