The terrorist group reached an agreement with the government of the African country and released the children, who will be treated medically and psychologically before returning to their families.
This Thursday 344 children kidnapped by Boko Haram in Hankara, Nigeria, were released by the terrorist group. The infants will receive medical attention and other assistance before returning to their families.
The rescue groups will take the children to Katsina, where their governor, Aminu Bello Masari, commented that the kidnappers released these people, after extensive negotiations with the authorities.
“The 344s are now with the security agencies and will be transferred to Katsina tonight. They will be given proper medical care and attention before they are reunited with their families, ”Masari said.
Nigerian President Muhammadu Bahari congratulated his entire government and also applauded other authorities who assisted in the negotiations with Boko Haram. This news is a “great relief” for the country, said the president.
