Ecuador registers 176.630 cases of COVID-19 and 12.920 deaths

Ecuador reports 919 new infections and 71 more deaths in the last 24 hours. In total, this November 11, 2020, the country has 176.630 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 12.920 deaths due to the pandemic.

According to the Ministry of Health, 8.592 people died with a positive diagnosis, while 4.328 died suspected of having carried the respiratory virus.

At the national level, there are 471 stable hospitalized patients and 337 with a reserved prognosis. In total, there are 808 interned in one day. While 71 more people were discharged from the hospital.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 154.956 patients have recovered, which represents 88.59% of the total infected, according to the government report. This indicator is updated every Sunday with an average of 6.500 people who recovered from the disease weekly.

Pichincha reports 455 new infections and nine more deaths in the last 24 hours. In total, the most affected province in the country has 62.650 infected and 2.084 deaths. Quito has 433 infected and the total number of cases in the Ecuadorian capital rises to 57.680.
