This Thursday, October 7, the Ministry of Public Health (MSP) presented the official figures of Covid-19 in Ecuador. Confirmed cases of coronavirus amount to 145.045.
In the last two weeks, confirmed cases have increased in provinces such as Pichincha, Imbabura, Carchi and Azuay.
The deaths related to Covid-19 rise to 12.141 (398 more than yesterday): 7.907 confirmed deaths and 4.234 probable deaths.
The cases discarded are 243.821. In addition, there are 19.614 citizens with hospital discharge.
Stable hospitalized 541 people remain. And another 348 are hospitalized with a reserved prognosis.
The MSP registers 120.511 recovered patients, equivalent to 85% of all confirmed cases. The Ministry explained that these are people who, 29 days after diagnosis, are still alive. The government will update this figure every week. (C.D.A.)
