On August 23, Seguros Sucre was awarded the contract for the maritime hull.
Seguros Sucre is once again the only company offering the contract for the insurance coverage of the air fleet for the period 2020-2021.
On September 23, Defense Minister Oswaldo Jarrín announced that the maritime hull was insured by Seguros Sucre at a value of USD 11’43.755, not including Value Added Tax (VAT). In this case, Seguros Sucre was also the only bidder.
In relation to the aerial hull, until today it was foreseen that the proposals will be presented within the framework of the bidding process that is underway.
The Vice Minister of Defense, Diego Gómez, together with the technical team, opened the envelopes that only Seguros Sucre presented this morning for USD 14’239.413, taking into account the referential budget of USD 14’439.093.
In the 2019-2020 period, Seguros Sucre obtained the same contract via tender and it has been the same company with which two extensions have been carried out this year to keep air and maritime hull operations covered, while the Ministry of Economy and Finance made the necessary transfers.
Until October 5, this contract is expected to be awarded
