The country registers a total of 114.309 official cases and 10.314 deaths in the context of coronavirus.
This September 1, the Ministry of Public Health (MSP) published the number of people infected with Covid-19 in Ecuador. The country reported an increase of 542 cases in the last 24 hours, with a total of 114.309 and 10.314 deaths in total, in the context of this pandemic.
In the same way, 15.471 cases were reported with hospital discharge, 166.676 cases discarded, 86.252 recovered patients and 360 hospitalized people with a reserved prognosis
The Province of Pichincha continues as the epicenter of the pandemic with a total of 24.076 reported cases and 924 deaths. Guayas remains in second place with 18.885 cases and 1.681 official deaths attributed to Covid-19. Manabí ranks third, as the province with the most infections, with 8.529 cases and 885 deaths.
For the moment, the restriction measures for the cantons with yellow traffic lights are being made more flexible, since the curfew will be in force from 23:00 to 05:00.
In addition, there will no longer be a restriction for vehicular circulation on weekends and the prohibition for the sale of liquor will not apply either, since the National Government, by opinion of the Constitutional Court, did not renew the State of Exception and it expires this 13 of September, for which the municipalities and prefectures will have to assume various powers of regulation and control that corresponded to the Central Government.
