On August 27, the “Coraza” operation was carried out in the Concepción sector, in Putumayo.
After locating clandestine camps that are allegedly used by irregular armed groups in Colombia, Ecuadorian Armed Forces personnel have intensified controls in the Putumayo area, Sucumbíos province.
A military report indicates that 44 logistics teams have been confiscated, including grenade launchers, rifles, pistols, grenades and thousands of ammunition.
A boat with fuel, communication equipment and protections such as bulletproof vests was also found.
All these elements serve as evidence to the Prosecutor’s Office for judicial investigations.
