The official report on Covid-19 in Ecuador details 104.475 confirmed cases of coronavirus. 95.519 were detected with PCR tests and another 8.956 with rapid tests.
Regarding the condition of the patients, the report indicates that 73.616 people recovered from the disease and another 13.661 were discharged from hospital, while 886 are in stable hospitalization and 365 with a reserved prognosis.
Regarding deaths in the context of the pandemic, the Ministry of Health indicates that 9.742 people have died: 6.146 people have died in the country due to the virus and 3.596 probable deaths from Covid-19 are registered at the national level.
Quito, the city most affected by Covid-19, registered 605 new cases in the last 24 hours, reaching a total of 19.550.

According to the report, the capital accounts for 18.4% of total cases nationwide, Pichincha registers 22.6% of total cases throughout the country and 820 people have died in the province due to the pandemic .
