In the last hours a 48-year-old man died
By the afternoon of this Wednesday, March 25, 2020, the number of those infected with coronavirus amounts to 1,211 confirmed cases and 29 people died from this pandemic. In Pichincha, confirmed cases went from 12 to 108 cases in one week.
He explained that there are 1,692 suspected cases, 1,387 discarded and 3 people recovered, with a cutoff on Wednesday afternoon.
In Galapagos there are 4 cases, 4 in Esmeraldas, 38 in Manabí, 6 in Santa Elena, 885 in Guayas, 40 in Los Ríos, 17 in El Oro, 2 in Carchi, 8 in Imbabura, 108 in Pichincha, 2 in Cotopaxi, 3 in Tungurahua, 11 in Bolívar, 11 in Chimborazo, 12 in Cañar, 31 in Azuay, 8 Loja, 6 in Sucumbíos, 1 in Pastaza, 7 in Morona Santiago.
The new deceased is a 48-year-old man who was in Quito, hospitalized in an Intensive Care Unit.
Of the 29 fatalities, the majority are men from different provinces of the country.
The Secretary of State reiterated the request to stay home. In Guayas and Pichincha the contagion is already community, so the epidemiological fence is not applied, while this measure is maintained in the other provinces.
