Compromiso Social will present precautionary measures to avoid losing its legal status

The Comptroller’s Office in a report recommends that the CNE cancel the registration of the political movement.

The Comptroller General of the State presented a report to leave the political force Fuerza Compromiso Social without legal status. The members of this group will present a request for precautionary measures outside the Council of the Judiciary of Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas.

The diligence is scheduled at 15:00 this Friday, March 13.

In the document, the Comptroller recommends the National Electoral Council (CNE) to cancel the registration of Fuerza Compromiso Social, which is an ally of the organization Revolución Ciudadana, led by former President Rafael Correa.

For the vice president of the CNE, Enrique Pita, it is the organism’s obligation to comply with the recommendation of the supervisory body that suggests canceling the registration of Fuerza Compromiso Social and three other movements.

By preventing their registration these political groups could not participate in the elections of 2021.
