The former president of Ecuador, Lenín Moreno, gave false and unsupported figures about the four years of his administration, according to a report presented by the State Comptroller General.
The report DNA1-0042-2022 of the Comptroller’s Office examined the National Development Plan 2017-2021, and was able to verify that the goals of the National Development Plan had a level of non-compliance of 58%.
In addition, his project “House for All Mission” has inconsistencies. The document noted that 125,000 houses of social interest were built for people in extreme poverty, with an investment of approximately USD 3 billion.
But the audit of the Comptroller pointed out that only 4,376 social interest houses were built, with a difference of 120,624 houses for which there is no support for their construction.
In the document Introduction to the Management Report, it was evidenced that of the 34 statements that appear in this document, in 16 “the figures and data do not agree”, while in 5 they were not found in any evaluation instrument, said the Comptroller in its conclusions.
While in the social sphere, Moreno indicated that he invested USD 11 billion in health, but the Ministry of Health indicated, in February 2022, that USD 10.6 billion was used.
