The Russian aviation attacked 93 areas of concentration of military and war equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Wednesday night, the spokesman of the Ministry of Defense of this country, Major General Igor Konashenkov, reported on Thursday.
He said that air missiles also destroyed aviation equipment at the Kanatovo military airfield near Kirovograd, a large ammunition depot in the town of Nikolayev and a fuel depot for enemy military equipment near Zhovtnevoye in the Nikolayev region.
The Russian air defense shot down in the last hours three Ukrainian fighters, an Su-24 near Snake Island, an Su-27 near Ingulets settlement in Kherson region and an Su-25 near Koshevoye settlement on Dnipropetrovsk territory, he said. For their part, Missile and Artillery Troops attacked six enemy facilities, including two launchers of the Tochka-U missile system and an artillery battery in a firing position.
According to Konashenkov, the Russian shells also hit 32 command posts, five ammunition depots, 403 support points, areas where troops and military equipment were concentrated, as well as 51 Ukrainian artillery positions.
More than 600 nationalists and 61 pieces of weaponry and military equipment were eliminated, he reported.
