The president of the Provincial Court of Justice of Guayas, Fabiola Gallardo, considered that the judicial system should be declared in emergency. This is due to the explosives that were placed this Wednesday, April 20, outside the Judicial Unit, located in Albán Borja.
The Police found cartons with explosive material in the parking lot of that shopping center. All this was happening while a partial habes corpus was granted to Júnior Alexander Roldán Paredes, alias “JR”, one of the top leaders of the Los Choneros criminal organization.
The president of the Court of Justice of Guayas explained that the lawyers of “JR” have three days to appeal the partial habeas corpus resolution, which was granted so that he can be taken to a public hospital in Guayaquil.
The Prosecutor’s Office, for its part, indicated that there are already 24 people detained for placing the explosives outside the Judicial Unit. The detainees belong to the Chone Killers organization.
