The Government of Ecuador has granted 330 pardons to persons deprived of liberty who have complied with the requirements established in Decree 355.

330 people deprived of liberty have been pardoned by the Ecuadorian government with the aim of reducing overcrowding in the social rehabilitation system, according to the Secretary of Human Rights, Bernarda Ordóñez.

The Secretary of State specified that the pardons have been granted as established in Executive Decree 355, signed on February 21, 2022.
