Pichincha registers 2,000 COVID-19 infections in one day

The province of Pichincha registers 215,529, as of Friday, January 14, 2022. That is, in the last 24 hours, there was an approximate increase of 2,000 cases.

This information was released by the Ministry of Public Health, in its epidemiological report. The institution reported that, of this figure, the city of Quito is the one with the most infections, with 199,390 cases.

In the Cayambe canton, meanwhile, 2,161 cases are registered. In Mejia, 4,447. In Pedro Moncayo, 592. In Pedro Vicente Maldonado, 456. In Puerto Quito, 608. In Rumiñahui, 7,049. And in San Miguel de los Bancos, 826 confirmed cases.

Nationwide, there are 578,525 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Of this figure, the province of Pichincha is the one with the most cases. In second place is Guayas, with 97,242. In third place is Manabí, with 40,827. And in fourth place is Azuay, with 31,055.
