(Prensa Latina) China defended stability in Asia-Pacific in rejection of criticism by the United States, and advocated the responsible use of artificial intelligence in the military sector.
According to Foreign Ministry Spokesman Wang Wenbin, Washington contradicts itself when it indicates that it does not want a new Cold War and at the same time persuades other nations to take sides between its government or Beijing’s.
He denounced the White House’s eagerness to incite confrontation in the Asia-Pacific with statements such as those by Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who expressed concern in Indonesia about “China’s aggressive actions” in the region.
Wang emphasized that the US diplomat’s attitude is inconsistent with the spirit of the recent meeting between the presidents of the two countries and the consensus to seek peaceful coexistence and shared profit cooperation.
He urged him to promote talks and collaboration in the area, instead of causing problems, sowing discord and inciting divisions.
