The President of Ecuador, Guillermo Lasso, held a telephone dialogue with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, to strengthen bilateral ties.
In a brief tweet, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported on the conversation between the two leaders. The Russian government noted that Ecuador is among Russia’s three largest trading partners in Latin America.
“We agreed to promote bilateral ties and maintain an intense political dialogue,” said President Putin.
This Wednesday, in addition, in the Grand Kremlin Palace, President Vladimir Putin received the credentials of the 20 foreign ambassadors recently arrived in Moscow, including heads of the diplomatic missions of Brazil, Ecuador, Spain, Panama and El Salvador.
