255,060 doses of Pfizer arrived in Ecuador

A new batch with 255,060 doses of Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccine arrived in the country, this Tuesday, July 27, 2021.

The shipment arrived at the Mariscal Sucre airport in Quito and will be added to the 9/100 Vaccination Plan, with which it is expected to immunize 9 million people nationwide.

According to the Ministry of Health, with this new shipment, the country has received more than 15.4 million doses from the pharmaceutical companies Pfizer, Sinovac and AstraZeneca.

Only from Pfizer, nationwide, 2,885,165 have been applied, according to the digital tool “Vaccine Meter.”

While in total, until July 26, 10,051,176 doses of vaccines have been inoculated, of which 2,090,177 correspond to second doses and 7,960,999 are second applications.
