Ernesto Samper -former president of Colombia and former Secretary General of Unasur- published a tweet calling for the release of political prisoners.
One of the first requests of the former Secretary-General of UNASUR is for Bolivia to release more than ten political prisoners who are in the Mexican Embassy, in the Bolivian country.
Then, Samper also asks that in Ecuador, the Prefect of Pichincha be released from the jail where she has been detained for 71 days.
He ends his thread by saying that “not even in the darkest times of the military dictatorships,” in the 1960s, these cases occurred. This is a “regional shame!”
