There are no Ecuadorians injured or killed after the collapse of the building in Miami-Dade

The Ecuadorian Foreign Ministry reported that, so far, no fellow citizens have been reported injured or killed in the collapse of the residential building in Surfside, Miami-Dade County, which occurred early this Thursday, June 24, 2021.

The partial collapse of this 12-story building has left at least one dead, a dozen injured and 51 people missing, according to international media.

Rescue teams in the Surfside area, north of Miami Beach, continue in the massive operation to locate survivors in the rubble.

The Foreign Ministry of Ecuador reported that it will continue to be pending from the Consulate in that city and will inform about it in a timely manner.

In the United States, they are investigating the causes of the collapse of a part of the building, inaugurated in 1981, which are still not very clear.

The rear of the Champlain Towers was affected and collapsed, where there are more than 130 apartments facing the sea.
