(Prensa Latina) France closed first trimester 2021 with an unemployment rate of 8.1 percent, almost identical to the one in October-December last year, a governmental source reported.
According to the Economic Studies and National Statistics Institute (ESNSI), the country registered 2 million 400 thousand people without work, 18 thousand more than in fourth trimester 2020, an increase of 0.1 percent.
The unemployment is similar to the already existing at the end of 2019, before the impact of the pandemic Covid-19.
