The former Minister of Health, Juan Carlos Zevallos, insisted that doctors were infected outside the hospital and brought the coronavirus to hospitals.
Zevallos indicated that he has scientific evidence to prove his accusations and stressed that, worldwide, 70% of health personnel who attended parties, meetings and acquired the virus there.
“Doctors were contagious outside the hospital and took the virus to hospitals unintentionally. That was my fight with the media and the doctors, who could not admit that they were wrong, so they said that they were infected from the sick, but I maintain that it was not like that ”.
In the same way, he denounced that another former Minister of Health, Mauro Falconí, had a private party with mariachis and, when he returned to the office, he infected the lawyer of the Ministry of Health and he died with Covid-19.
Zevallos also indicated that in the pandemic multiple cases of corruption were detected in the health system and when he wanted to denounce them, he made several enemies and a political problem that would have been the cause of his departure from the MSP.
“Politics constituted a problem when the medicines, supplies, fans, masks, body bags came along… there really comes the very serious problem, which is corruption. Body bags were sold, costing four, eight dollars at 120 ”.
