IDB approves $42 million loan to Ecuador

The loan “will support the regulatory quality and transparency of the business environment” in Ecuador.

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) announced the approval of a USD 42 million loan to “improve competitiveness through the strengthening of institutions that contribute to the business environment and productivity” in Ecuador.

The entity noted that the program will strengthen dialogue and coordination between public and private sectors, and will contribute to the improvement of innovation and productivity of strategic productive sectors.

The loan “will support the regulatory quality and transparency of the business environment” in Ecuador.

They also said, “it will offer technical assistance to the Economy Ministry to support the development of a comprehensive strategy, aimed at improving access to financing and sustainability of micro, small and medium enterprises.”
