Older adults may be vaccinated with the first dose without prior appointment

From this Wednesday, April 28, 2021, starting at 3:00 p.m., all adults over 85 years of age and older will be able to go to any vaccination point, nationwide, for their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, reported the Ministry of Health.

The health ministry clarified that the attention will be enabled from 3:00 p.m. and will receive people who do not have an appointment scheduled.

In addition, people who already have an appointment, previously confirmed, will be vaccinated according to the scheduled schedule, so their assigned shift will be respected, according to Health.

This Tuesday, April 27, Wated stressed that this decision is due to the lag that exists of several older adults, part of phase one of vaccination, who have not yet been immunized.

“Now it is the turn of all adults over 85, as long as they are going to get the first dose,” he stressed.
