The president-elect, Guillermo Lasso, will meet with Lenín Moreno at the Carondelet Palace.
Both the incoming and outgoing president delegated their teams to organize the process, once the new administration will begin on May 24.
Moreno appointed the Minister of Labor, Andrés Isch, to be in charge of this issue, who for more than two months has been collecting data to have the necessary information to deliver it to the successor government.
He also delegated Jorge Wated, Secretary General of the Cabinet of the Presidency, who gave details on who will no longer be invited to the meeting.
Wated indicated that more than the incoming president will also be invited to his wife; the elected vice president, Alfredo Borrero, and his wife. The outgoing vice president, María Alejandra Muñoz, and her husband would also be present at the event.
At the moment, Guillermo Lasso’s team works in his office located in the La Previsora building, in Guayaquil, where he defines the transition process. Iván Correa Calderón and Juan Carlos Holguín are in charge of this topic.
