Day 2: Vaccine Plan Platform is not yet 100% active

Users report system crashes when accessing the registration form and also slow data loading.

The government reported that the Plan Vacunarse platform, which was supposed to operate from March 15, would be active this Tuesday, March 16, 2021; however, citizens continue to report system crashes, slowness and reboots in data loading.

The platform to register a shift and access a vaccine against Covid-19 should have been operating since yesterday, March 15, 2021; However, the authorities argued that there were failures in the system due to the number of people who visited the portal and they apologized to the country.

Older adults who enter www.planvacunarse.ec must click on the “vaccinate” option, this will send them directly to a form where they have to enter their data such as identification number, full names, email and cell phone number.

Despite the authorities confirming that the system is working, users still report several problems accessing the registration form and also a slow loading of data. Additionally, the 10 minute count that enters the form tends to reset or crash.

Those people who have already managed to register in the system will receive a short message to their cell phones or email confirming the place and date of their vaccination.

Appointments will be assigned prioritizing the age of those enrolled. Those people over 65 will receive the first shifts and, from that group, the other vaccination schedules will be assigned.
